STRIKING GEOMETRIC DESIGN AND PLUSH COMFORT.
A striking display of Italian design and time-honoured artisan skills, this unconventional armchair offers a wraparound seating experience in an eye-catching voluminous and geometric shape that will make a statement in a contemporary interior. The two-dimensional structure, inspired by a Leonardo da Vinci design and made of beechwood pentagons and hexagons develops into a three-dimensional shape with crystal-like inserts. Due to its complex manufacturing process, every one of these exceptional armchairs is a unique piece, as „crystals“ cannot and never are reproduced exactly.
MATERIALS
All materials used for the construction are 100% natural and biodegradable.
Frame: solid dried beech wood frame, water based polish, aluminium joints, handmade and handpolished.
Padding: natural oil and officinal herb based foam padding * this material is not 100% natural, as this particular shape needs hard foam and cannot be developed with natural latex (…yet, we’re currently looking for a solution to produce this iconic piece 100% naturally).
Finishing: choice of 100% natural fabrics (linen, cotton, cotton velvet, natural mixes), steel and cotton zippers, all geometric elements have removable covers.
PRODUCTION
Entirely handmade in our workshops in northern Italy.
